The MHS Student Council is diligently preparing for their annual fall blood drive hosted in conjunction with Vitalant on Monday, October 7th in the district auditorium.
Someone in the U.S. needs blood every two (2) seconds! And, one in seven people entering a hospital will need blood. Blood is only usable for 42 days, so a constant supply is always needed, no matter the season.
Currently, we are in an urgent need for all blood types. Each donation can help multiple patients such as preemies, surgery patients, and cancer patients. In fact, 700 donors are needed every day to meet the blood needs of hospital patients in our region.
