Mr. McConkey and a few students attended Big Iron this week! What a fun field trip--They had a great experience and got to see the latest and greatest in equipment. A highlight to their day was watching a moving combine unloading into a moving grain cart. The grain cart had no driver, totally autonomous! For our Robotics and Technology class--that is one familiar term! The future of farming!

An exciting week for Thunderbird Athletics, as JH practices start TOMORROW, Monday August 22nd.
For the week of August 22nd:
Both JH FB & JH VB will practice 6:30 - 8:30 pm.
JH FB will practice in Mahnomen
JH VB will practice in Waubun
JH Transportation Schedule (on the Mahnomen side) is as follows:
NCCS pickup at 5:30 pm
Drop-off JH FB at MHS at 6:00
Drop off JH VB at WHS at ~6:15
Pickup JH VB at WHS at ~ 8:15 (& return to Mah)
Pickup at MHS following the conclusion of 8:30 pm practice
Drop-off at NCCS at ~9:15ish
ELEM FB will also begin practice at their respective schools on TUESDAY, August 23rd! They willl practice 6:30-8:30 pm! GO THUNDERBIRDS!

Mahnomen Community Education is once again a host site forthe 4Hr Refresher Course prepared by the Saint Cloud State University Driver Discount Program for drivers over the age of 55.
Class will be held from 5 to 9 PM on September 8th, at the Mahnomen High School. Get registered now--see the flyer for more information!
DYK: Mahnomen Elementary offers Voluntary PreKindergarten to childen who are 4 years of age by Sept 1, 2022?
Voluntary PreK offers age appropriate activites and curriculum that help develop skills needed for success in Kindergarten! Our PreK program operates Monday through Friday, following the District Calendar, and starts September 6th!
Registration is available NOW--call the Elementary Office for information!
Fall Varsity Practices start TOMORROW! Get registered and complete your (online) paperwork—don’t forget to double check those physicals! Students not registered online will need to complete that before they are eligible to compete.
JH Fall Sports begin on the 22nd! More information to come soon! JH players, if you are entering 7th grade and have NOT completed a physical, schedule one ASAP. You must also register online before you can compete.
Physicals are required for all student-athletes participating in Sports and are valid for 36 months.
For those of you having issues with Fall Activity Registration, we received notice from rSchool Today that site is back up!
