Mahnomen Public School District is seeking applications for full-time paraprofessionals to provide academic and/or behavioral support services to students.
Applicants need to be able to meet Minnesota Paraprofessional requirements by having either (1) an associate or higher degree or (2) by having successfully completed a minimum of 60 hours (credits) of instruction from an institute of higher learning or (3) passing the Parapro Test, which may be taken at the Mahnomen School.
Compensation package starting at $16.00/hr. with excellent insurance benefit package. All applicants must pass a favorable criminal background check.

Welcome back to school! We are excited for the 2021-2022 year!
Activities for today include:
*JH VB vs. Blackduck (Mah) at 5:00
*Varsity VB vs. Blackduck (Mah) with JV at 6:00 pm, varsity to follow. There is NO C-team game!
*Due to a scheduling conflict, there will be NO junior varsity football game today against NCE-UH.

Reminder that Mahnomen Public Schools back-to-school open house is Thursday, September 2nd, from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Seventh grade orientation starts at 3:30. Hope to see you there.
As we begin to approach another new school year, we would like to share the reminder to please make bus and student safety a priority by reviewing the bus loop and pickup/drop off procedures!
The first day of school is coming soon! Classes begin on Tuesday, September 7th. The health, safety, and wellness of our students, staff, and community remains a priority.

The Safe Learning Plan can change depending on local COVID conditions such as case rates, transmission factors, and vaccination rates. Please remain flexible and prepared for changes in mitigation measures.
With a cooperative effort we can maintain the safety and health of all persons in our schools.
*Please conduct a wellness check of your children every day before sending them to school.
*Please keep ill children home.
*Federal transportation rules require masks to be worn on buses.
*Masks are recommended to be worn while in-doors. Especially for those individuals that are not fully vaccinated.
*Positive cases will follow MHD isolation procedures.
*Close contacts may be quarantined dependent on their vaccination status or masking and social distancing practices.
*Classrooms are being arranged to allow for social distancing.
*Frequent hand washing is encouraged.
*Common surfaces will receive regular cleaning and disinfecting.
*In-door air quality is set to maximum volume of fresh air exchange.

A message from our friends at Norman-Mahnomen Public Health; School is just around the corner and our goal is to be as “normal” as allowed. One way to make that happen for your student is vaccinating them if they are old enough. Vaccinated individuals are not expected to quarantine the 14 days if identified as a close contact of a positive.
With the Delta variant making its way across the United States, our goal at public health is to help everyone get vaccinated if
they choose to be.
If a student is participating in fall sports, the risk of exposure is higher. By getting vaccinated, if a student is identified as a close contact of a positive, they would still be able to continue to participate
without having to quarantine unless symptoms developed.
Norman Mahnomen Public Health will be offering a Pfizer Clinic on August 6th.
